21st Century Leadership Circle:
Join the 21st Century Leadership Circle for 2012
Members of the ACDC “21st Century Leadership Circle” are Democrats who donate $210 per year to the Adams County Democratic Committee to provide a predictable source of revenue, and it is working.
The group was started in 2006 to allow the local Democratic Party to focus on strengthening the party, supporting candidates and turning out the vote. The consistent support from 21st Century members as made this leadership circle the backbone of our local Party’s fundraising efforts.
During the Presidential campaign of 2008 the 21st Century group met to discuss our plans, and the group said we needed to have a visible presence in downtown Gettysburg. Donations from this group enabled us to open a campaign office on Chambersburg Street in Gettysburg in June and sparked an expanded campaign effort throughout the county. For the first time we were able to staff and maintain a county committee office, 3 campaign offices and drew the attention of the Obama team so that they invested in a full-time office and staff just for the Presidential campaign.
In 2012 we need to step up our local efforts, not only for Obama, but to elect a Democrat to the new Congressional District now vacated by Todd Platts’ decision to step down. As you can see on this site there will be other important races as well.
To help ACDC financially and strategically, join the 21st Century with either a one-time gift of $210, or contribute quarterly or monthly by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE button above. At least twice each year we get together socially, and always make time for some serious conversation and dialogue with the Democratic Leadership. Our first gathering in 2012 will be a Tapas Party on February 10. For more details, contact Elaine Jones at elainelynchjones@gmail.com.
