Please join us in participating in the following community activities.

  • May 22, 2010 Abbottstown Arts & Crafts and Yard Sale by The Capital Capaign for Abbottstown Square Project.

  • June 25-27, 2010 The Latimore Valley Fair (Home of The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing) is both a country fair and an antique race car exhibit. This great family event offers free parking, free entertainment, free admission and free shuttle service!

  • July 4, 2010 Annual Carroll Valley Celebration will include an encampment and a chili cookoff. The Encampment has 40-50 re-enactors and their activities will begin at 10 am. At the end of the evening there will be a patriotic march from the Encampment area to the stage area. Kids rides there will be a 24 Foot Duel Slide, Boulder Dash, Scooby Doo Moon Bounce and Play Center, 4 games, Soccer Shoot out, and Skee-Ball. The Guest Chili Tasting is at 4pm and the winner is announced at 6:30pm.

  • August 17-21, 2010 South Mountain Fair is a country fair featuring rides for the kids, barns filled with farm animals, many homemade needlework exhibits, photography, home canned fruits and vegetables, fresh produce and fruits, and beautiful flowers, all on display. In addition there is nightly entertainment in the auditorium, a fireworks display one evening, and the antique tractor and farm machinery parade another evening, and so much more. Something for everyone to enjoy!

  • August 19, 20 & 21, 2010 Littlestown's Annual Celebration of the Good Old Days, Crouse Park Littlestown, PA. The event starts with a 5K race and parade on the 17th. An old-fashioned festival offering a flea market, craft displays, antique display and hometown cooking in the town park.

  • September 11, 2010 7:00am to 4:00pm Celebration of East Berlin colonial Days. For more information contact Dona Maguire.

  • September 18, 2010 Abbottstown Community Spirit Picnic - 1:00-5:00pm - Abbottstown's fifth annual picnic held at the Abbottstown Borough Park on High Street, north of Route 30 West. The family-friendly picnic features a covered-dish lunch for all residents in the 17301 zip code, which includes all of Abbottstown and parts of Hamilton, Berwick and Paradise townships.

  • September 19, 2010 12:00pm to 5:00pm Heritage Festival - The Eightteenth Annual Adams County Heritage Festival will be held at the Gettysburg Recreation Park.

  • September 25-26, 2010 PIPPENFEST - Celebrate the Harvest Season at Fairfield's annual festival, Pippenfest. The last weekend in September. Fun for the entire family at this old-time country street festival featuring arts and crafts, apple products, live country music, antiques, vintage cars, great food and more.   • October 16, 2010 Land Conservancy Road Rally. Every fall for the past elevenyears, over 200 travel lovers from the East Coast gather to participate in the Land Conservancy's Road Rally. Although not a race, Rally contestants vie for the Conservancy Cup, adorned with the coveted "fuzzy dice," while they visit the hidden treasures of Adams County and traverse the unparalleled landscape. If you can get a sponsor for your team, you may ride for free!

  • October 17, 2010 3rd Annual Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg, Chili Cook-Off. For more information contact Colleen Baumgartner.

  • October 23, 2010 New Oxford Harvest Festival and Parade. 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Farmer's Market on the Square will be open from 8AM to Noon, The Craft Show and Food Show will be from 8AM until 3:30PM in the Circle. 5K run at 9AM. Harvest Parade at 4:30 (starting at the New Oxford High School.) Block Party following the parade with music.
